The Three Pulls
Of A Prophet's Ministry

It is written in Jeremiah 1:5...

1:5 Before I formed thee in the womb, I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb, I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.

God, being omniscient, knew from the beginning, exactly WHAT He was going to do in the earth. He knew exactly HOW He was going to it and He knew exactly WHO He would use in each Age to declare His Word to the people. That's why He could say what He did about Jeremiah. According to Hebrews 4:3 all of God's works were finished from the foundation of the world. In His Eternal thoughts everything had already been rehersed.

He had a PLAN; He had a PURPOSE; and He had a PATTERN by which He would carry out His Plan and Purpose. "...As Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the Tabernacle; for, see, saith He, that thou make ALL THINGS according to the PATTERN shown to thee in the mount." (Hebrews 8:5b).

The sending of Prophets and Messengers have always been a part of God's PATTERN. It is written in Amos 3:7: "Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but He revealeth His secret unto His servants, the prophets." Again we find these words in 2nd. Chronicles 20:20b: "Believe in the Lord your God, so shall ye be established; believe His prophets, so shall ye prosper." In Psalms 105:15 this warning is issued: "Touch not mine Anointed, and do my Prophets no harm." God said to Aaron and Marian, "Were ye not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?"

Therefore, when we say that God has sent A Prophet in this age - it's Exactly according to God's Pattern. Secondly, He PROMISED to send a Prophet in this day; And Thirdly, this Age needed a Prophet to straighten things out. This Age needed someone to rise on the scene with "Thus Saith The Lord!" That Prophet was none other, then William Marrion Branham - If not he, THEN WHO? Where is the man with an "Open Vision Ministry"? Where is the man with the "Pillar Of Fire" Vindication? Where is the man that is able to manifest the "Perfection Of The Mesaiah Sign"?

"O fools, and slow of heart to believe ALL that the Prophets have spoken." (Luke 24:25). Your denomination won't save you; Your clergy can't save you; Your form of godliness will never get you into the Kingdom of God. You MUST believe and WALK in the LIGHT of ALL that God has spoken for this Age. In His day, the people asked Jesus, "What must we do that we might work the works of God?" Jesus said, "This is the work of God, that ye believe on Him whom he has sent." (John 6:28-29). It's LATER than we think! It's high time that this generation, under this last call of mercy, check up to see whether or not they are in the FAITH that will put them in the Rapture.

Our Lord Jesus Christ has indeed fulfilled His Word and sent a prophet to meet our need. The Ministry of that Prophet was vindicated from beginning to end. From His Birth to His Death the Lord led him all the way. His Ministry had already been mapped-out by his Heavenly Father, who knew the end from the beginning. Previous to his breaking forth onto the world stage, God only gave His Servant glimpses or hints into the PURPOSE of his Ministry in this Age. In January 1950 Brother Branham said:

The hour is here, people. The time is here. I say this, and you can brand me a fanatic, if you wish to. I believe that this indicates the second coming of Jesus Christ. Amen. For, there will be signs and wonders. And the thing of it is, if you're not in the kingdom of God, press into It. Surely I would have some knowledge of what I'm speaking of, or God would never honor my prayer to do what He does. And you outside the kingdom, seek Christ as your refuge now, while it's time and while you have the opportunity.

As far back as 1933, God told him that he would go forth with a Message that would forerun the Second Coming Of the Lord Jesus Christ. Then in 1946, the Angel come with a Commission to take a Message of healing around the world. But Brother Branham was well into his ministry before the Angel came to him in a Vision and showed him the PAST, PRESENT and FUTURE of his Ministry. The Angel showed him how that the ministry committed to him had "Three Phases or PULLS". NOTICE THIS: According to the Angel, "Two Pulls" were almost finished and he was to get ready for the "Third and Final Pull" of his ministry.

Brother Branham was only a young man when the Angel informed him that he was approaching the "FINAL PHASE" of his ministry. It's not surprising that Brother Branham, in 1962, Preached: "The Present Stage of MY Ministry". In that Message he spoke of his own end. He said:

But the forsaking time come, and it must come. And it's arrived for me. No need of trying to rub away from it, it's here and you must take... I want you to remember that the separating time has come. I don't know how far I am from the end-time, MY END OF THE ROAD. I don't know. that's up to God."

There's many a man who retires from his ministry and let's the younger generation take over. But when God is finished with his prophets, they don't retire or step down out of their office - GOD JUST CALLS THEM HOME! If anyone knew this, Brother Branham knew it.

PLEASE NOTE:
When Brother Branham began his national and international ministry he promised God that he would remain on the field as long as God met the financial needs of the campaigns. In the 1955 California Campaign (Nov. 10 - 20, 1955), they went $15,000 in debt. Following these meetings, Brother Branham returned to his home in Jeffersonville with the intention of getting a job to help pay off the $15,000 debt. To him the California Campaigns would be the last - he would leave the Evangelistic field. BUT God had other plans for His Servant.
In his own words Brother Branham said:

But I went home tired, weary, upset, crying, went to bed that night; and after the wife got to sleep, I went in the room, and knelt down and said, "Dear Jesus, I don't know what I'm going to do. Here I am right back where I started from again. I guess I made a failure." About two hours from then, He appeared to me.

In "A Vision" the Lord first showed His Servant that 'souls' were more important than the offerings taken up in a meeting. Secondly, He showed Brother Branham that his Ministry wasn't finished yet. In fact He revealed in the vision the Three distinct phases his Ministry would have.

The Vision - Part One

Now, you people that know me, know that I'm not a fanatic. I don't say these things unless they're the truth. That's right. And (in the vision) I seen it - I seen Brother Arganbright standing there, and I went up to him, and he said, "Brother Billy, we've given out all the prayer cards, and everything's ready now for the meeting. We've got a way to take you in and out."
I said, "Thank you, Brother Arganbright."
I walked over to see more brethren. And there was another brother preaching. And I said, "Who's he?"
They said, "They put him up."
I said, "Who are 'they'?" And they just turned around and walked away. And the man dismissed the audience and let them all go. And I said, "Oh, you shouldn't do that, because there's no altar call." Another fellow spoke up and said, "We done took up the offering."
I said, "When is the offering more important than souls before Christ?" See?

The Vision - Part Two
And at that, the Angel of The Lord had taken me out then, and He take me to a real bright stream of water. It was the most beautiful blue water; and great fish were swimming around in it. He said, "I will make you a fisher." And He said, "Now, cast your lure into the water; and when you do, pull it slow the first time; and the next time (second), just give it a little jerk, not too hard; and the next time (third), set your hook for the catch."
And I started to throw my line in the water. I pulled, and everybody began rejoicing and saying, "That's wonderful! That's wonderful." I got all excited, and jerked it hard on the next one, and I pulled the fish and all out of the water. And what it was, it was a little bitty fish, and it was just about the size of the lure. And I got my line all tangled up. And I was straightening out my line, and the man which was talking behind me, walked around in front of me, dressed in Palestinian clothes and a turban on his head. He had a white robe. He said, "Brother Branham, that's it. You did exactly what I told you not to do"
I said, "I know I didn't do right," I said, "I jerked it when I ought not to." He (the Angel) said: "Don't get your line tangled up in these kind of times." And I said, "Well, I'm running it as straight as I can. I will be very careful."
He said, "Now, the first time I spoke with you, you put your hands on the people and told them what was wrong with them. And the second pull, why, when you did, you would know the secrets of their hearts. And I made you a seer before the people. But you was always trying to explain it. You oughtn't have done that." He said, "You made a public showing out of it." I said, "I'm very sorry."
And then He taken me from there, and I seen a great huge tent. I never seen such a tent! And it was packed and lined everywhere with people. It looked like I was standing above the people, looking down where I just made an altar call; and hundreds and hundreds of people were weeping and rejoicing after they had accepted the Lord Jesus as their Saviour.
And I looked, and heard a man get up and say, "Call the prayer line." And people began to line up over on this side - to the left from where I was looking down towards the platform, and they lined all the way up and down the street for a prayer line. And I noticed to my left, which would've been to my right if I were on the platform, a little wooden building. And I seen that Light, that they have the picture of, you know, that's always in the meetings; I seen that Light leave me, and go to that building, and go in that building; and a Voice said to me, "I will meet you in there; that'll be the Third Pull."
I said, "Why?" He said, "Well, it won't be a public show like they had it." And I came to (out of the vision).

This was the first time (December 1955) that the Angel had, in one Vison, shown Brother Branham the "Three Phases" of his ministry. As a boy of seven years old, he was told that "there was a work for him to do when he got older." The Voice did not explain what that work was or HOW he would do it. The Angel remained with him throughout his teen years, BUT gave no indication of the "type" of ministry he would manifest.

It was not until after he had start preaching in 1933 that the Lord informed him of "the importance" of the ministry he would fulfill. While baptising converts in the Ohio River, the Pillar Of Fire descended from the skies and hovering over Brother Branham, a Voice spoke and said, "As John the Baptist was sent to forerun the First Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ, even so, you are sent with a Message to forerun His Second Coming." Still, there was no indicatiion of the "type" of ministry it would be.

For many years, Brother Branham knew that he was God's Prophet, but as for the details of HOW his Ministry would unfold, this was revealed to him as he needed it.
From 1933 to 1946, the prophet's ministry was still low-profile and localized. He still had visions, and in 1933, as the result of Seven Major Visons he prophecied of the beginning and end of the Second World War. He prophesied of the rise and fall of Adolf Hitler and Mussolini. In 1936 he prophesied of the Great Ohio Flood of 1937. Besides all this, he preached, he prayed for the sick and worked with the Public Service Company of Indiana, for a living.
STILL, his Ministry to the world had not yet begun. For about fifteen years he was known locally as a humble, hard working pastor. Till the time was right, God kept His Servant hidden from the eyes of a generation of 'sign-seekers'. It's somewhat like our Lord Jesus when he was mannifested in flesh 2000 years ago, God also kept Him hidden from a generation of 'sign seekers'. For eighteen years he worked among them - a lowly carpenter. Till one day, His time came to be revealed to Israel.
Even so, William Branham's time had come, to be revealed to the world. And through his Ministry, Jesus Christ would be introduced to a waiting end-time Bride. In May of 1946, with a burning in his soul, to more fully understand THE PURPOSE of his Ministry, he was driven, by the Holy Spirit, to a cave somewhere near Jeffersonville. Here, William Branham was determined to stay until he heard from God.
On May 6, 1946, An Angel was sent from the Presence of God to tell Brother Branham of his peculiar life, ministry and misunderstood ways. He was Commissioned to take a Message of divine Healing to the world. The First and Second Pulls of his Ministry would be fulfilled under this Commission. He was given "Two Signs", with instructions to, "Get The People To Believe". These "Two Signs" represented the FIRST and SECOND Pulls of the ministry. This, Brother Branham didn't know until the Angel came again in December 1955 and gave him the above recorded Vision. For seven years he travelled around the world, manifestating the "Two Signs", preaching Jesus Christ, the Same Yesterday, today and forever.
Brother Branham would have to wait another nine years before learning of the "Third and Final" phase of his Ministry. In the vision recorded above, the Angel (in 1955) comes to reveal to God's Prophet, the coming of another phase of the Ministry. In the Vision, Brother Branham's ministry was compared to fishing. Once the line is cast into the water he was instructed to made THREE PULLS on the line. He was told to "set his hook for the catch".
Explaining the Vision, the Angel told the Prophet that the "sign in his hand" was the "First Pull", and the "Discerning the thoughts and intents of the heart" was the "Second Pull". Then Brother Branham was shown, in the vision, a 'huge tent-like' place where multitudes had gathered. The focus of the Vision was a little wooden building to one side on the platform. The people had lined up for a prayer line. But

instead of the usual precedure
of crossing the platform to be prayed for, the people were directed 'through' this little building. Nobody knew what was going on inside the building. Those who passed through the building, exiting the opposite end, rejoicing over their healing, they didn't know what happened inside. they only knew that they were sick but now they were healed.
The Pillar of Fire which was with Brother Branham in the vison, now whirled away from him and went into this little building. the Angel that was still with the Prophet said, "I'll meet you in there and this will be that THIRD PULL. It won't be a public show like they had it."

Now, Brother Branham would have to wait another eight years before seeing the full vindication of the Third Pull. This Phase of his ministry would be so much 'unlike' the others that it would confound the other ministries. This is the final pull - the thing we've all been waiting for - this Third Pull would make it a reality. Praise the Lord! "It's hidden from the eyes of the wise and prudent and revealed to babes such as would learn." (Matthew 11:25)
